The Woodlands area continues to demonstrate long-term economic resilience, even amid short-term shifts, as highlighted in the newly released 2026 Major Employers Report. According to Hello Woodlands, the report—presented at the Economic Outlook Conference—tracks 84 major employers representing more than 40,000 jobs across The Woodlands, Shenandoah, and Oak Ridge North. While total employment saw a slight year-over-year dip due to industry adjustments, particularly in the chemicals sector, the region has still achieved over 30% job growth in the past decade, reinforcing its strength as a stable and growing economic hub.
